The annual Downtown Canton Tree Lighting on Nov. 15th is a beloved tradition that always kicks off the holiday season in Canton. Hundreds of people gather in Cannon Park to experience the lighting of our magnificent tree. With the flip of a switch, Santa himself will officially ring in the holiday season in Downtown Canton.

As the perfect holiday celebration to enjoy with friends and families, this event brings a night of heartwarming celebration that you won't want to miss!

Rink on the River

Skate in to this holiday season with family and friends at the 3rd Rink on The River! Located at The Mill on Etowah, this outdoor rink is one of the best ways to create fun and lasting memories with your family and friends.

Starting Nov. 24th, everyone can enjoy this amazing experience through the bulk of the holiday season, all the way until Jan. 15th!

Christmas in Canton

Join us on December 8th from 6pm to 9pm for Christmas in Canton! Activities will include a visit with Santa, petting zoo, face painting, balloon artist, s'mores station, inflatables, decorated cookie station and more! Our shops will be open late to assist you with finding the perfect gift and our restaurants will be ready to welcome you.

This is the perfect event to enjoy with friends and family as there's so much to do to get into the holiday spirit. Downtown Canton will be lit with Christmas lights and festive decorations all over. You won't want to miss it!

Merry Market

Join us in Downtown Canton for the 36th Annual Canton GA Optimist Club Merry Market on December 9th from 2pm - 6pm! If you're looking for unique gifts this holiday season, the Merry Market is the perfect place to explore your options as there will be plenty of vendors to choose from!

On top of shopping, the Market will feature visits with Santa, live entertainment, arts & crafts, food and more! Once the Merry Market wraps up, you can join family and friends in enjoying the Christmas Parade starting at 6pm!

Christmas Parade

On Dec. 9th, following the Merry Market, Downtown Canton sets the scene for the 36th Annual Christmas Parade, presented by the Canton Optimist Club. The parade includes homemade floats, local clubs and businesses, and several special guest appearances, including Santa Claus himself!

This is an event this holiday season that you surely do not want to miss! Join us with friends and family on honing in on the holiday spirit with a magical experience in Downtown Canton.

Movie Screenings at the Historic Canton Theatre

To wrap up the holiday season, take a trip down memory lane and watch the holiday classics Elf (2003) and White Christmas (1954) at the Historic Canton Theatre. Share a popcorn with family and friends, sit back, and relax in the cozy ambience of the theatre.

Santa will be available for pictures when doors open 1 hour before each showing! Tickets will go on sale Friday, December 15th at 9am.
