The bond you create with someone through art is one that is so unique, you're gonna want to head over to Local Color Studio and create lasting memories this Valentine's Day. What sounds more fun than painting a piece of pottery with your Valentine?

On February 5, Local Color is hosting a Girl's Night Out: Galentine's Day Pottery Workshop where you'll learn to build heart themed pottery pieces! Through this class, you'll learn how to craft, create texture with lace, and then glaze and paint with the colors of your choice!

On February 11, they're also hosting a Ghost Pottery Date Night! At this ghost themed pottery class, work together with your significant other to make a ceramic vessel, sip on some wine, and have a photoshoot afterwards!

Spots fill up quickly, but don't worry! Local Color offers day passes for guests that want access to the open studio, materials, and equipment for just a day. If you want a more structured day, they also hosts classes and events that allow you to learn new skills, whether its painting, drawing, sculpting, or other artistic endeavors.

Kick your day off with a pleasant stroll through one of our peaceful parks. Set up a chill picnic on the green of Etowah River Park and enjoy the walk afterwards that connects to Heritage Park. A familiar favorite, Mamma Onesta's will be kicking off Valentine's Day Celebrations on Saturday, February 10 with the live musical performance from Ryan Davis, a long-time nostalgic crooner. They will be offering a cupid-themed featured entree and dessert as well as specialty cocktails beginning Friday, February 9 through February 14, which is Wine Down Wednesday ($10 off a bottle of wine).
