Etowah River
Where Nature and History Flow Together in Harmony.
The word “Etowah” is a Muskogee word that means town.
It’s such a fitting name for the river because it flows right through our town! The Etowah River is a 164 mile long river that starts in Blue Ridge and ends in Rome. The river is filled with bass, bream, and crappie. Embark on kayaking and tubing adventures, or cast your line for a day of fishing amidst the river's tranquil embrace. This river isn't just a part of Canton; it's an essential thread woven into its identity.
