At Etowah River Park, there is a playground that is also equipped with picnic tables, a basketball court and a wide field for sports such as soccer. All our trail systems are in the progress of being connected to one another. By crossing over the river at Etowah River Park you can walk the connector to our other park, Heritage. If you want to walk near a bigger body of water, check out Hickory Log Creek Reservoir, walk by or plan a kayak trip to explore the reservoir.
Wanting to hangout somewhere close to downtown, plan to check out the gazebo at Cannon park or Brown Park, which is equipped with a playground. Our smaller parks, Burge Park and McCanless Park, are located in close proximity to downtown Canton. Harmon Park is more sport oriented than the rest. It includes baseball fields, and is currently under construction for mini-pitch soccer fields. Boling Park which is the furthest from downtown, is a 20 acre park with a one-mile gravel walking trail, covered pavilion with bathrooms, playground, baseball fields, tennis courts, racquetball courts, basketball court, bathrooms facility, soccer and lacrosse field space, picnic tables.
