North Georgia’s Biggest Outdoor Event: The Etowah Wildlife Expo Returns to Canton This March

Outdoor lovers, adventure seekers, and wildlife enthusiasts—mark your calendars! The annual Etowah Wildlife Expo is back at The Mill on Etowah on Saturday, March 8, and you don’t want to miss it. From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., this completely free event brings the great outdoors right into the heart of Downtown Canton, turning The Mill into a paradise for nature lovers, thrill-seekers, and families looking for a wild day out.

Thrilling Encounters and Exciting Showcases

The Etowah Wildlife Expo brings nature up close and personal. Watch in awe as falcons soar overhead in the Bird Showcase, go face-to-face with mesmerizing snakes, curious lizards, and other cold-blooded wonders in the Reptile Show, and cheer on the high-flying Dixie DockDogs as they leap into the water with insane energy. If you’re an angler or just love the sport, don’t miss the Bass Fishing area, where experts will be sharing tips and techniques for reeling in the big one!

The Retriever Exhibition showcases the incredible skill and discipline of these hardworking dogs, while the Turkey Calling Competition will put expert callers to the test. Kids and adults alike will love the Petting Zoo, where they can meet fascinating creatures up close.

Shop and Explore

In addition to the packed schedule of live entertainment and animal showcases, The Etowah Wildlife Expo also features an expansive open-air market for those in need of some retail therapy. With 250,000 square feet packed with vendors, there’s plenty to browse. Discover handmade duck calls, outdoor gear, locally crafted jewelry, and art that captures the spirit of the great outdoors. You're sure to walk away with something special.

Live Music to Close Out the Day

As the day winds down, the music turns up! From 5:30 to 7 p.m., local Southern-rock favorites The Band Waleska will bring their signature sound to the stage, blending gritty guitar riffs with down-home energy. Then, from 7:30 to 9 p.m., get ready to rock out to Freebird, a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band delivering all the classic hits that defined an entire genre.

The 2025 Etowah Wildlife Expo is a celebration of everything that makes the great outdoors exciting. Featuring everything from feathered flyers to scaly showstoppers, you’re invited to be part of the action. Don't forget, leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome to join you at the Expo, so bring your four-legged friends along for a day on the wild side. Admission is free and on-site parking is easy. Additionally, hourly overflow shuttles will be running from the Action Church parking lot. There's no reason to miss out on the action on March 8!
