Four Ways to Celebrate July Fourth in Canton

With the Fourth of July just around the corner, Canton is preparing for the holiday with events that’ll keep you in the patriotic spirit. From river adventures to boot-stomping tunes, this City’s got something for everyone looking to make the most of the holiday.

1. Float on the Fourth

Location: Etowah River | Tickets: $45 | Limited to 150 spots per day

Kick off the afternoon with a lazy float down the Etowah River. What can be better than a nice river ride with friends and family on a hot summer day? For just $45, Etowah River Tubing will hook you up with a tube rental, shuttle drop-off, patriotic swag, and a drink from Reformation Brewery. This event fills up fast, so book your time slot before they’re gone!

2. Red, White, and Boots

Location: Reformation Brewery | Free | Line dancing: 5-6 p.m. | Live music: 6-8:30 p.m.

After that river cruise, don your best boots and head to Reformation Brewery. They’re offering a free, all-levels line dancing class from 5-6 p.m. No experience required and everyone's welcome! Then, get your live music fix and stick around for a high-energy set from Cody Bolden and The Road Hands starting at 6 p.m. It’s fun, free, and the perfect way to keep the party going.

3. Patriotic Parade

Location: Downtown Canton | Free | 6 p.m.

By this point, you should be ready for a dose of hometown pride. Make your way to the center of Historic Downtown Canton for the annual 4th of July parade. Making its way along East Main Street, you can expect dazzling local floats, marching bands, and community clubs marching to the beat of liberty.

Pro Tip: Arrive early and bring a lawn chair to save yourself the best seat in town.

4. Fireworks Spectacular

Location: Best viewing on Riverstone Pkwy | Free | Begins at dusk

Following the parade, Canton's signature Independence Day fireworks show is set to light up the skies shortly after sunset. Round up your friends and family along Riverstone Parkway to catch the best view. It's an annual tradition you simply can't miss, and the perfect way to wrap up a packed, patriotic day in Canton.
