Walk through history and celebrate fall on October 18 at Denim Fest, hosted by The Mill on Etowah. Whether you’re a longtime resident or a first-time Canton visitor, Denim Fest is a uniquely-Canton event that you simply must add to your fall to-do list.

Why 'Denim Fest?'

Denim Fest celebrates Canton’s legacy as one of the world’s leading denim production centers and the birthplace of Canton Denim.

Canton Cotton Mill No. 1 (now the site of The Mill on Etowah), opened in 1899 under local entrepreneur Robert Tyre Jones. The mill’s success in denim manufacturing sparked economic growth that defined Canton for generations.

In 1958, the original Denim Days Carnival brought the community together for games, contests, and fellowship. More than a century later, Denim Fest continues that tradition, honoring the City’s industrial past while looking ahead to a bright future.

What to Expect at Denim Fest 2025

Denim Fest is filled with activities, live music, and family fun that make it a must-do annual fall event.

Carnival Rides and Games

Coming to Denim Fest this year is the all-new Carnival experience! Wander through a classic carnival atmosphere filled with iconic midway games, rides, and inflatable fun for all ages.

Market on the Lawn
Browse the Fall Vendor Market for handmade goods, seasonal treats, and one-of-a-kind finds from local artisans.

SEC Football on the Green

Enjoy a full day of tailgating and college football on the big screen, featuring key matchups including Ole Miss vs. Georgia at 2:30 PM.

“Come to Work with Salty” History Trivia Tour

In honor of History Cherokee’s 50th Anniversary, guests are invited to take part in this interactive, family-friendly walk-through of the Mill. Learn what a day was like for past mill workers through hands-on exhibits and trivia stops that will make you an expert on Canton’s textile heritage.

• Free Admission: Entry to Denim Fest is free for all, and so is parking!

• Carnival Access: $5 wristband provides all-day access to rides and midway games. Kids 2 and under are free.
