Rock out at the Taste & Brews Fall Festival

Get ready for the Taste & Brews Fall Festival on October 12th and 13th at Etowah River Park! With over 20 food vendors, you can dig into everything from classic barbecue and tacos to creative Southern and Latin dishes. Plus, there’s a killer lineup of craft beers to try, including favorites like Wicked Weed Pernicious IPA and New Belgium Voodoo Pumpkin Ale. But that’s not all—there’s live music, cool crafts, and a kids' area that’s sure to keep the little ones entertained. Want to know the best part? Admission is free! It’s the perfect excuse to head outside and enjoy great food, great drinks, and great company, all while supporting an important cause. Portions of the proceeds benefit the Atlanta Fundraising Foundation to support their program aimed at keeping impaired drivers off the streets of Atlanta.

Visit a Local Farm

Experience the magic of fall at Yahoo Farm and Cagle’s Farm, with each farm providing its own unique take on autumn festivities and family fun.

At Yahoo Farm, just a short drive from Downtown Canton, you’ll find a ton of autumn fun just a hop away from town. Get lost in the sprawling Corn Maze, enjoy a classic Hayride, and have a blast with the Corn Cannon. You'll also have the chance to meet friendly animals, take a Pony Ride, or race Rubber Ducks. For after-dark thrills, explore the Cosmic Corn Maze with its glow-in-the-dark magic or take a spooky nighttime Haunted Hayride!

Cagle’s Farm also offers a whole lineup of seasonal activities. Challenge yourself with their big Corn Maze or the adorable Mica’s mini-maze, and pick your perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. Watch the Pig Races, play yard games in Clay’s Corner, or swing away in the Octagon Swings. The Animal Barn is a must-see, where you can meet sheep, goats, cows, and maybe even some piglets. Both farms offer farm stores with the freshest local produce. You'll definitely want to dedicate a day to each of them, as they both promise a day packed with fun-filled fall activities!

Step into Canton History at 'Denim Fest'

Celebrate both fall and Canton's history at the 3rd Annual Denim Fest, an action packed two-day festival at the historic Mill on Etowah. Once the heart of the world’s denim production, Canton’s heritage comes alive at this event, where you can enjoy a mix of family-friendly activities and local traditions. On November 1, join in the festive spirit with trick-or-treating, a kids costume contest, and live music from Yacht Rock Schooner. November 2nd's highlights include watching SEC football games (including the UGA vs. FLA showdown), an epic cookoff to crown the best BBQ in the area, and an all-day kids fun zone. The event is free to attend, and if you'd like to sample food from the BBQ Cook Off, tickets will be available for purchase. Fall in Canton just isn't complete without Denim Fest.

Go Craft Shopping and Scarecrow Spotting at 'Riverfest'

One of the must-attend events in Canton this fall is Riverfest, held on September 28-29 at Etowah River Park. This arts and crafts festival, which has become a beloved annual tradition, draws over 25,000 visitors and features 150+ exhibitors showcasing handmade goods from across the Southeast. At Riverfest, you can experience delicious food from local vendors, a dedicated children’s area filled with games and activities, and live entertainment from local performers! Another Riverfest favorite is the scarecrow display, with each unique scarecrow created by local businesses and civic groups. After Riverfest, these scarecrows are moved to Downtown Canton along Main St. and North St., where they add a touch of fall spirit throughout October.

Treat your Tastebuds at 'Taste of Canton'

Foodies rejoice! Taste of Canton is back for its second year on October 10. You're invited to sample appetizers, entrees, coffees, and desserts from some of Canton’s best local restaurants, all in one evening at The Mill on Etowah. You will dig into a variety of cuisines while enjoying live music and a vibrant atmosphere. A cash bar will also be available, offering cocktails, wine, and beer to complement your tasting experience. You'll see why Canton has become one of Georgia's top dining hotspots, and you might even discover your new favorite restaurant!

Run, Sip, and Celebrate at Bizarre Coffee’s Dash & Bash

Start your day with a 5K run (or walk) through Historic Downtown Canton, perfect for runners and walkers of all skill levels. This year, Bizarre Coffee is partnering with The Children’s Haven, donating a percentage of all profits to this incredible organization dedicated to supporting children impacted by abuse. For a unique leaf-peeping experience, look no further than Downtown Canton, where the streets are lined with beautiful ginkgo trees. These ancient trees are a rare sight in many areas, making Downtown Canton especially distinctive. The sole remaining species in a group of trees that date back to before the dinosaurs, Ginkgo trees are referred to as "living fossils." In the summer, they boast lush green leaves, but as fall and winter approach, they transform into a remarkable bright yellow, making our already picturesque historic downtown even more stunning.
