1. Float on the Fourth

For the first time ever, Murph’s Surf, along with The Mill on Etowah and Reformation Brewery, is hosting the "Float on the Fourth" event—a festive, fun-filled adventure on the Etowah River. Grab a tube or kayak and take in the natural beauty of the Etowah River.

• Tube or Kayak Rental: Your ticket includes a rental for either a tube or a kayak.
• Transportation: Don't worry about logistics—transportation to the drop-in point is covered.

2. 4th of July Parade in Historic Downtown Canton

After a day on the river, head to Historic Downtown Canton for our annual 4th of July Parade hosted by American Legion Post 45. This year’s parade promises to be a lively, patriotic, and festive display of community spirit!

Event Details:

• Start Time: 6:00 PM
• Location: Historic Downtown Canton
• Highlights: Local floats, marching bands, and community groups will parade through downtown.

Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket to secure the perfect spot along the route and see Canton come alive with red, white, and blue!

3. Fireworks Display on Riverstone Parkway

Cap off your Independence Day with a bang at our awe-inspiring fireworks display. This year, Canton is pulling all the stops to put on a show you'll never forget. The night sky will light up with a spectacular presentation of colors and patterns, creating a magical atmosphere that’s perfect for all ages.

This fireworks display is a beloved tradition in Canton, and it’s the perfect way to end a day of celebration. Gather with friends, family, and neighbors to enjoy the show, which starts at dusk along Riverstone Parkway, and celebrate our nation's independence together.

Viewing Spots:

There’s lots of great places to catch the Independence Day fireworks! Looking for dinner with a view? Riverstone Corner Bistro offers patio seating with prime views of the fireworks show. Be sure to call them in advance to guarantee your spot. Alternatively, the parking lots of Riverstone Village and Riverstone Plaza, as well as Etowah River Park are favorite viewing spots.
