A Perfect Golf Day in Canton with ATL Golfs

To prove it, we teamed up with Joe at ATL Golfs, who set out on having the perfect golf day in Canton - before, during, and after his time on the fairway. Keep reading as we share Joe's itinerary for the day and all the tips you need to know for your own perfect day on the green.

Pre-Tee Energy

To get fueled up for a full day on the green, Joe started his morning at Stitch Coffee - one of Canton's newest (and favorite) espresso bars.

From the moment you walk into Stitch, you'll notice the large and colorful mural inviting you into their bright and open seating area. At Stitch, you'll find a delicious variety of baked goods, savory bites, ice cream, and of course, specialty crafted coffee creations - everything you need for your pre-tee fix.

You'll also want to check out Stitch's rotating seasonal offerings. As of writing, you can indulge in their cozy fall offerings, which include caramel apple lattes, toasted marshmallow mochas, and much more!

Joe kept things classic with their signature Stitch Mocha and a flaky cheddar chive scone. Delicious!

"The best finishing hole in the Metro Atlanta Area"

Filled up with coffee and scones, Joe took the short drive from Stitch to Fairways of Canton, where 6,500 yards of play and breathtaking views of the Blue Ridge Mountains awaited him. This is definitely one of the most scenic courses in the region.

According to Joe, the course features everything you could want - from elevation drops to holes that require strategic club selection. The risk-reward element to many of the holes here provide a worthwhile challenge to seasoned golfers, making it all the more satisfying when your chosen strategy pays off.

The course culminates on what Joe calls "... the #1 finishing hole in all of Atlanta Golf," making Fairways of Canton an absolute must for any golfers in the area.

"The conditions at Fairways are consistently above average. Everything was healthy... the tee boxes, fairways, greens, etc. Rarely would you come across a dead spot. Greens roll at a medium speed, which provides a little comfort for novice players.

They've got a decent practice facility too. Any public course that offers a range, chipping green, practice bunker, and putting green gets major points in my book."

Post-Round Round

Finding something to follow the #1 finishing hole in the Atlanta Golf scene is a tall order - but The Mill on Etowah is ready to step up to the challenge!

As the sun began to set after a full day on the green, Joe headed to Reformation Brewery at The Mill to unwind. With over 20 unique craft brews on tap, as well as a variety of specialty cocktails and house-made non-alcoholic offerings, Reformation is one of the best spots in Canton to grab your post-round round! Reformation is constantly changing up their offerings with seasonal brews, which inspired Joe to grab a smooth and delicious pumpkin blonde ale.

Once you grab a table at Reformation, you'll find QR codes that allow you to order food from a selection of the incredible restaurants at The Mill. Joe took the opportunity to order a classic smash burger from Community Burger, which was promptly delivered to right to his table. A burger and brew combo you simply can't go wrong with after a perfect day of golf.

"The bartender took plenty of time to let me try a couple options and even explain some of the brewing process. I've been to enough bars to know that many bartenders don't actually know or appreciate the brewing process for each beer. This really elevated the experience, and I was even more excited to try the seasonal Autumn Crossing, which more than lived up to the hype. I'm still thinking about it!"
